Last night’s episode of turned out to be quite an interesting event. Although we are used to seeing frustration on the celebrities’ faces, we are not accustomed to seeing clueless looks on the professionals as well.

Ironically, the teachers most familiar with the new styles they were given (Tony with the Hustle and Lacey with the West Coast Swing) received some of the lowest numbers of the night. Meanwhile, those coming into their dances cold (Derek, Cheryl and Kym) scored well.

Dancing with the Stars 7: Week 5

Tonight on , long-time followers of the show were offered a very nice treat. For Season 7’s halfway point, the remaining eight couples were challenged with four entirely new dances.

For the first time, the parquet floor saw the pairs take on either the Hustle, Jitterbug, West Coast Swing or Salsa. Interestingly enough, the styles were so new—even some of the professionals struggled. ( even had to research online!)

Dancing with the Stars 7: Week 4

Last Tuesday, chef Rocco DiSpirito and Karina Smirnoff came very close to being eliminated from Dancing with the Stars. But thanks to Misty May-Treanor’s nasty accident, the couple was given another chance to stay in the game.

Unfortunately, the remaining 9 pairs were not able to write off Week 3 completely. The scores from this Monday’s dances are going to be combined with last week’s numbers to determine Week 4’s elimination.

So after tonight’s Samba and Tango performances, were Rocco and Karina still likely to leave next? Read on!

Dancing with the Stars 7: Week 3

Last week, eleven couples were vying for ’ mirror ball trophy. Seven days later, we were down to only nine.

Although she had planned to take on the jive tonight, an injury forced Olympic gold medalist Misty May-Treanor to suddenly leave the competition. You can see her explain the incident - and hear the injury happen - below.

Dancing with the Stars 7: Week 2

Two down, eleven to go.  Last week on the , the celebrities were tasked with two different dances over two different days.  Those performances resulted in the eliminations of both comedian Jeffrey Ross and actor Ted McGinley by Wednesday.

This week, the amateurs took on either the sultry Rumba or the aggressive Paso Doble. Did the celebrities rise to the challenge? Read on!

Dancing with the Stars 7: Week 1, Day 2

Last night, Dancing with the Stars: Season 7 kicked off with a jam-packed premiere.

All 13 couples - including 2 injured dancers - attempted either a Cha Cha Cha or a Foxtrot. After Round 1, actress/model Brooke Burke was sitting in the lead with a score of 23 while comedian Jeffrey Ross was resting at the bottom with an embarrassing 12. (Even Adam Carolla managed to get a 15 at this point last year.)

Tonight, 12 of the pairs were given one more chance to win voters over before Wednesday’s second elimination. Who proved they were worth saving…and who asked to be sent home? Read on!

Dancing with the Stars 7: Week 1, Day 1

Last night, premiered with its largest - and most interesting -  cast so far. In addition to having the series’ youngest and oldest competitors to date, the seventh installment also boasts two Olympians and several interesting rivalries. This year we have married competitors (Alec Mazo, Edyta Sliwinska), a father/son battle (Corky Ballas, Mark Ballas) and a brother/sister rivalry (Julianne Hough, Derek Hough).

For the show’s first night, all 13 couples each performed one dance. They will then follow that up with another routine on Tuesday. Come Wednesday, the program’s first two celebrities will be eliminated.

Contestants Announced for Dancing with the Stars 7

Dancing with the Stars

The official lineup for was announced earlier today by Tom Bergeron.

And while history has seen rumors proven horribly wrong, parts of this season’s list were accurately predicted long before.

For the show’s seventh installment, we’ll actually start off with an uneven 13 contestants. This will lead to a double-elimination in the reality hit’s very first week. We’ll also see the oldest and youngest performers in the program’s history.

The Latest Dancing with the Stars Rumors

Since our last report two weeks ago, the latest Dancing with the Stars rumors have been dished out a rapid pace. And we still have another two weeks to go until the final cast is announced!

According to TMZ, Toni Braxton will be one of the competitors hitting the floor this fall. If the buzz is true, this decision would be very interesting considering the singer’s recent issues. Braxton was forced to cancel her Las Vegas show back in May citing health reasons. (While the specific problem was not revealed, Toni has been treated for hypertension and pericarditis in the past.)
